Dandelion in Gouache

For a while I've been meaning to use my gouache paints,to which I've added some new ones from Winsor Newton and Schminke. The quality of these gouache paints is extremely good-loaded with pigment (same as watercolour ones) and they have no white added and so are not chalky.
Its good to try different mediums and techniques for a change. With gouache I use a dark coloured ground,in this case dark green card.

  1. Beautiful painting!
I have some gouache, which I find too chalky. Good to know not-chalky-colorrich gouache exists.

  2. So delicate and effective. I like the fact that you've chosen an imperfect seedhead too. x
